Advanced Aesthetics Dentistry

Aesthetic dentistry is the backbone of our practice, and we constantly strive to be the best. This includes veneers, crowns, and composite white fillings, to name a few of our specialised methodologies.

To achieve this level of excellence, we have invested heavily not only in equipment, but in many years of post-graduate training and ongoing courses. We keep abreast of the best available treatments, techniques and materials, and we stay updated on global best practice to ensure that our patients receive the best.

Digital Smile Design

Failing to plan is planning to fail. Our newest addition to our practice repertoire is Digital Smile Design. This is the most recent method and technology employed to plan the very best outcome for our patients. Before we undertake large or even small cases, a patient’s dental treatment is simulated on a digital platform. This process includes an intra-oral scan and a series of photographs. This information is then fed into our digital Apps, as well as an independent planning centre.

Once the planning is complete, we create a mock up for the patient to ‘test drive’ their new smile. Once the patient has approved this, we copy this planning, knowing we will have a predictably satisfying outcome. The result is the best predictable outcome for our patient. We use the same programme for implant planning, as well as orthodontic treatment.

Through digital platforms, Dental Collective has access to collective knowledge from the best in the field, worldwide.

Oral Hygiene And Teeth Whitening

We pride ourselves on honest, conservative dentistry. This means we believe in the power of preventative care.

“Prevention is better than cure”.
It’s for this reason that we have highly qualified oral hygienists. They are fully certified to carry out procedures such as routine dental cleans, through to more complex periodontal scaling. They are also well equipped to supply and perform all tooth whitening systems and more.

The tooth whitening systems include in-office treatment as well as the supply of a range of home kits.

Our oral hygienist also plays a major role in our diagnosis and check-ups.
We believe all patients should see the hygienist bi-annually for a dental clean. This avoids large dental emergencies and results in healthy, happy smiles.

Orthodontics / Straightening Teeth

Orthodontic treatment is often needed in children, and even in adults. The main aim of orthodontics is not only to place teeth in the position they were intended to be, but also to create a superbly functioning bite and mouth.

Until quite recently, the process of straightening teeth hasn’t always been comfortable, attractive or even wholly effective – but with Clear Aligners, this has changed dramatically in the last few years.

Clear Aligners are thin, see-through braces which are fully removable. You wear them for a minimum of 22 hours a day for the recommended time, and each aligner is worn for about 2 weeks, before being replaced with another. Through thorough digital planning beforehand, this process straightens your teeth. It is even effective in patients who have had a relapse from previous orthodontic treatment.

The superior technology around Clear Aligner orthodontics has resulted in an explosion in the marketplace. Patients are benefitting significantly from the billions of rands invested by companies in the research. Over more then 10 million patients (and growing) worldwide, have had their teeth straightened with Clear Aligners.

At Dental Collective, we work with a number of different aligner companies to ensure that your needs – and pocket – are met.

At Dental Collective, we are official providers of Invisalign

Clear Correct

We are passionate about early diagnosis of malocclusions – this intervention forms the basis of healthy dental practises for a person’s lifetime.

Early interceptive orthodontics is a form of orthodontics in young children who still have all – or most of – their baby/milk teeth. This is often necessary in order to ensure the children have no bad mouth habits like thumb-sucking, mouth breathing or incorrect swallowing patterns.
Early interceptive orthodontics is the science of assisting children to ‘grow into their teeth’. This early intervention could even prevent them from having orthodontic treatment in the future.
Interceptive orthodontics treatment includes dental removable plates and fixed habit correctors.

Root Canals

Unpleasant as it is, toothache is sometimes unavoidable and needs professional help. Pain relief is often done through root canal treatment.

At Dental Collective, we are well qualified to treat the most painful and uncomfortable tooth infections. We have a highly sophisticated microscope to assist in revealing the complicated tooth anatomy, and identifying the problem.

This advanced technology means we’re able to resolve toothache quickly, efficiently and effectively.

Paediatric Dentistry

A child’s visit to the dentist – particularly for very young children – needs to be a good experience from the outset. From the outset, we aim to establish a good relationship with the child, so they’re always comfortable visiting us.

We treat joint pain holistically looking at the patients’ bite and teeth wear. Joint pain can be caused by many things. A skew bite, skew teeth, stress, anxiety and clenching to name a few. It is Often  treated by bite splint therapy and removing the cause of the problem.
